Fluent Hypermedia

Writing fluently in hypermedia remains uncommon despite HTTP and HTML being widely available since 1993. Here we start a collection of examples.

This page describes a bi-metal home-heating thermostat primarily with a diagram of the interacting subsystems within the thermostat. Here the intersecting feedback loops aid the reader in developing a deeper model of the mechanisms and reveal how this temperature control mechanism includes a model of the thermodynamics of a home.

This page has one sentence. There are two outbound links in the sentence. The prose alone does not offer understanding to the reader. The two other pages linked by this sentence are mutually independent and unaware of each other. But the reader who can browse the two pages will reconstruct meaning from the structure of this tiny hypermedia.
